Certified Veterinary Practice Manager

Angela began her veterinary career in a small, rural town in Texas as a veterinary assistant just as she neared the end of high school. A short time later, she moved to Washington to marry her best friend, Donny. They have been married for over 20 years and have raised three amazing young men.

 

Angela is constantly looking for opportunities to further her education and improve patient care. She has a particular interest in team building, leadership, and communication. She consistently attends webinars, workshops, and conferences to stay abreast of the latest techniques used throughout the veterinary industry.

In 2018, she completed the rigorous path to become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager, one of only about 800 individuals nationwide.  
 

More recently, she developed a strong interest in Fear Free handling. She became a Level 1 Fear Free Certified Professional in 2020. After seeing the positive impact it made for both patients and veterinary team members, she eagerly pursued further Fear Free education. She achieved Fear Free Elite status in 2022 and continues to be a strong advocate for our patients. She provides continual education and training to both team members and patient families regarding recognition of the signs of fear, anxiety and stress in patients as well as how to alleviate these problems. 

Angela was an integral part of building Willow Tree Animal Hospital from the very beginning. Aside from her beautiful family, she considers bringing this vision of excellent patient care paired with a positive and sustainable team culture to life one of her greatest accomplishments.
