Meet The Veterinary Assistant Team

Robyn J.
Since February 2021
Robyn was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. She found her passion working with animals when she volunteered at Camp Easterseal in the riding program in middle school.
You will know Robyn is in the clinic when you hear her infectious cackle. She can sometimes be found singing to nervous animals to help them stay calm. Robyn enjoys being there to support families and their pets. She will laugh with you or cry with you, depending on the moment at hand. Her mission is to be an advocate for you and your pets and she is always happy to help.
Robyn is married to her best friend and is the mother of two children. She has one trouble making cat and enjoys raising pigs.

Sarah B.
Since May 2021
Sarah started working in veterinary medicine as an assistant in 2007, after the birth of her daughter prompted a change from the corporate world. After working at a few local hospitals over the years, she is thrilled to have found the awesomeness of Willow Tree Animal Hospital. She loves utilizing the Fear Free approach and sees the importance of prioritizing the emotional health of patients. Sarah is now studying to become a licensed veterinary technician and plans to take the exam in the fall!
Sarah is known for dancing and singing for her teammates and she throws a mean Birthday Celebration for every staff member as our elected Birthday Ambassador.
When not working, Sarah enjoys riding her Andalusian horse Cody, gardening, exercising, hiking and anything outdoors. She lives with 2 Doberman (Boogie and Duckie), a border collie mix (Siggi), and an ancient deaf dachshund (Frank F. Urter), 2 barn kitties (who are the cuddliest and named Mickey and Minnie), and lots of chickens! The amazing humans in her life are her husband (who always tolerates her…"Oh hey honey can we foster <insert needy pet from rescue here>”) and the best teenage daughter (who is by far her biggest and best achievement in life)!

Rena N.
Since August 2021
Rena has been in the veterinary field for 16 years. She grew up in Gig Harbor and life has brought her family to several different places across the U.S. Most recently she lived in Las Vegas, where she spent 4 years working in a feline-only practice. This experience help to fuel her love of cats. She is passionate about helping families understand the sometimes complex relationship and needs of their feline companions. She understands that knowledge about feline-specific needs helps families better care for them and improve everyone's life!
Rena's furry family consists of 4 cats and one German Shepherd (all rescues). She is happy to call Willow Tree home and looks forward every day to the wonderful energy and care that comes from working here.

Since December 2021
I am originally from Durango, Colorado. My heart has been in the veterinary field beginning with my first job in high school. I was fortunate to work in emergency medicine for the past eight years and I am happy to transition back to general practice at Willow Tree. Not only do I get to work when it is light out (or grey in PNW terms) but I love being able to experience wellness visits with healthy pets!
It makes me happy to be able to help provide the highest quality care for our patients in a compassionate and Fear Free environment. My mission is to protect the physical and emotional health of all pets I encounter while strengthening the human animal bond.
After a long day I go home to my human, Mitch. We are lucky to have two tripods; a Golden Retriever named Walter and a Dachshund/Lab mix named Bo. I don't know how to make pancakes. I love puzzles, my family, dry shampoo, and over watering my plants.

Kristen M.
